It can sleep up to two people sharing a double bed comfortably. Starling's Rest traditional Scottish box-bed has been modernised to fit a double mattress. It’s a great place to relax and watch the T.V. or the flames in the stove in the evening. 

As well as an enclosed bed area and open plan kitchenette/ dining area, Starling's Rest has a shower room with a walk in shower, wash basin, plus toilet.

THE LOCATION

Nestled by the banks of Eden Water, Ednam is a sleepy little village 2 miles from the town of Kelso. Ednam village is steeped in history, it’s one of the earliest villages on record in the Scottish Borders and is thought to have originated in Anglo-Saxon times.

 

Ednam is also notable for having been associated with several Scottish poets, Henry Francis Lyte, writer of Abide With Me; William Wright, John Gibson Smith and James Thomson, writer of Rule Britannia. The impressive Hume Castle is visible from Ednam and the local area is not only rich in history but beauty too.
